FAQ

Q: What is the difference between SUPER IRON and ordinary iron frying pans?
Unlike ordinary iron frying pans, the iron has been nitrided to prevent rusting, so there is no need to season the pan, and you don't have to worry about rusting when storing it.

Q: Is there any coating on the nitrided iron?
Nitriding is a process in which nitrogen is injected into iron to harden the surface and make it stronger. Since it is not applied to the surface like a normal coated non-stick frying pan, there is no need to worry about any coating to fall off.

Q: Is nitrided iron safe?
Nitriding is a processing technique that uses nitrogen to infiltrate iron to harden and strengthen surfaces. It is safe and it is not harmful to the human body.

Q: Can I use it at high temperature?
Since SUPER IRON is a fast in conducting heat, cooking with medium heat is sufficient. If the pan is heated on high heat, it will not heat evenly during preheating and food will burn during cooking. In addition, the bottom is likely to become deformed, so be sure to use the pan on medium heat or lower.

Q: How do I prevent food sticking on the pan?
The key is to make sure that the skillet is heated well and evenly, and that the oil is evenly distributed over the surface of the skillet. The more often you use, the more oil film will form on the surface, which will minimize sticking to the pan. In addition, a certain amount of oil is needed to cook foods with low oil content, such as dumplings, egg dishes, fried noodles and fried rice. Use the right amount of oil when cooking.

Q: Can I use detergent?
Detergent is not necessary for normal cleaning. If there are stubborn stains or grease, you can use a neutral detergent, but the oil film will be washed off. So if you clean with detergent, it is better to go through the seasoning process again.

Q: How do I remove burnt stains?
Boil water in a frying pan, wait for a few moments, and when the burnt pieces are slightly loosened, scrub them with a brush or a slightly stiff sponge.

Q: How do I remove oil stains?
Bring the water in the skillet to a boil and scrub with a mild detergent and a slightly firm sponge. The scrubbed area may turn white, but this is not a problem. After cleaning, be sure to season it again.

Q: After scrubbing, the skillet turns white. Has the nitrogen-impermeable layer peeled off?
Although the oil film have been rubbed off, you can use it without any problem after seasoning. Since the nitriding process hardens the frying pan itself, it will not peel off even if discolouration occurs. The discoloured part will not return to its original colour, but the colour will change gradually, so there is no problem.
